Maybe you liked our post last week about skiing along the cliffs of Fort Lee, NJ.
But there is a chance you balked at the idea of skiing so close to the city, along with its myriad unpleasantness, such as drivers, and noise, or indeed without a guide.
Now you have your chance to hoof it up to Middlebury, VT for a Full Moon ski on Blueberry Hill.
The fully guided event is being held on February 15, and is open to all levels of skiers. And what is better, it ends with dinner.
Skiers will start at Rikert Nordic Center in Ripton at 3 p.m. and the guides will show you the 10 km of groomed and ungroomed trails through the forest to the Blueberry Hill Inn in Goshen.
The event concludes with a four course dinner with a Vermont cheese plate. The price is $50 per person and includes the guide, dinner and shuttle fee for your cars. (It does not include ski equipment.)
