Research Project Coordinator (2 positions available)

The Alan M. Voorhees Transportation Center at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey seeks qualified candidates to fill two project coordinator positions, one with the New Jersey Safe Routes to School Resource Center and one with the New Jersey Bicycle and Pedestrian Resource Center. The project coordinators will provide project management and research support to the center’s project managers and principal investigators on assigned projects. Interest, knowledge and experience in the area of mobility and safety planning for bicycles, pedestrians and Safe Routes to School programs is desired.

Requirements include: Bachelor’s degree in city and regional planning or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of project coordination activities, report preparation and data analysis, writing, and outreach; basic knowledge of the key concepts and terminology used in the field of transportation planning and policy; and good written and oral communication skills and computer literacy. A Master’s degree in city and regional planning or closely related field is preferred.
