Who’s Coming to the Amgen Tour of California

What’s up Dudes and Dudettes?

Any CyclistsInternational readers heading to the West Coast, or looking for the best of American pro racing, sorry it’s not in NYC, Chicago, or San Francisco, but running from Sacramento, CA, today, May 12 to a Los Angeles area, Pasadena finish on Saturday, May 18th.

Knowing that last year’s Tour de France and Tour of Italy winners are not racing the Giro d’Italia in Europe, maybe you should ask if they’ll be just a Jet Blue flight away, in the USA!

Not to miss the pro-women, but will your favorite racers (men) be pedaling over 800 miles from Northern California to the Southland.

Subject to last minute changes in California law and permits, the women will race just three days, from the Pacific Ocean in Ventura, to two-mile high Mt. Baldy, to Pasadena.

Started talking about the 5 W’s in regard to the Tour of Italy, the Giro d’Italia, so WHO IS coming to California?

How about more of the Olympic medalists, Tour de France contenders, and World Champions!?

Yes, the international stars will be back, repeat jersey winners from the last 13 AMGEN Tour of California events in the Golden State; Slovakia’s Peter Sagan (2015 winner), the 2017 winner, Team JUMBO-Visma’s George Bennett (NZL), EF Education First’s U.S. veteran, 2013 winner, Tejay van Garderen,

Julian Alaphilippe?

Right, somebody asked, “what do you mean over 800 miles?”  OK, including the neutral starts it’s over 800 miles, but if you count actual miles after the flag drops it may be just 773 miles – you want to go do that in seven days?

The Golden Bear ATOC race Leader’s jersey,…
