A local artist who often designs cycling clothing kits, has now created the Campagnolo New York Gran Fondo 2013 Poster.
Alex Ostroy is a prolific graphic artist whose work graces the cycling industry. He brings a new-found elegance to cycling graphics that recalls the days of 6-day racing posters in the U.S., and travel posters in Europe from the 1940’s.
Incidentally, the Gran Fondo will be held in New York this year on May 19. Word has it that the organizers at some point wanted to route the Fondo along a closed Palisades Parkway, the same route that was taken by the 2012 New York-New Jersey Ironman.
That will not be happening, and instead, the route will travel north towards Bear Mountain, and on the return, finish near the ferry from New Jersey to New York City in Guttenberg, NJ.
