Bloomberg Endorses Obama after Hurricane Sandy

Mayor Michael Bloomberg has endorsed Barack Obama for President after concluding that the country’s leader would have the best policy for reducing the global warming that led to Hurricane Sandy.

Previously Bloomberg did not make any public statement about whom of the two presidential candidates, Obama, or Mitt Romney, he had planned to endorse.

Though a registered Independent, and a previous Republican party member, Bloomberg is a liberal mayor whose policies on global ecology, social issues, and divisive issues, such as gun control, are more left of center than most mayors in the U.S.

The story was first broken by the NY Times.
