Vote on Tappan Zee Today

The  Mtropolitan Transportation Council has set the vote for the approval of the new Tappan Zee bridge for today, Monday.

Governor Andrew Cuomo will also be speaking in support of the new plan in Piermont, NY tonight.

The advocacy group Riverkeeper has criticized the decision to hold the vote tonight with little or no notice to the public

Last week we criticized the decision by the NY State DOT to fail to make sufficient provisions for cyclists on Route 9W which would be a significant roadway for cyclists commuting to the new bridge.
