We received an email from Bike Hoboken’s Brian Wagner this morning, asking us to vote for their community so they can get new Saris bike parking corrals.
They are presented in a gorgeous yellow (our favorite color for 2012,) and in a cut-out design that is eye-catching and sure to attract a lot of bike riders for their commute into New York City. Here is Brian’s plea:
Help Bike Hoboken: We need your votes today!!!!!!! Hoboken has made it to the final 8 in the Saris bike corral contest. Help Bike Hoboken win a Saris bike corral rack for our PATH station by sending your vote for HOBOKEN PATH to firstname.lastname@example.org or vote through Saris bike corral on Facebook. Vote now, forward to all your friends. Voting ends at midnight tonight (5/30) Thank you.
As a news gathering site, we aren’t allowed to take sides. But if you happen to be predisposed to the East Coast, well, I guess there wouldn’t be any harm in throwing some votes their way!
Bike Hoboken describes themselves as “a citizen-based advocacy organization that aims to make Hoboken streets safe and welcoming for bicyclists of all age groups and experience levels.”
This is a worthy endeavor for a densely populated community with very few options for car parking, and a mere stone’s throw across the river from New York City, accessible by the NJ PATH.
